How To Make a Cardboard Print

You will need:
-thick cardboard
-thin cardboard
-scissors
-P.V.A. glue
-printing ink
-rollers
-paper

What To Do:
1.Cut out cardboard shapes to make a picture.
2.Glue onto template.
3. Let it dry.
4.Put paper over top.
5.Use roller to put paint on the template.
6.Put paper over top and press it with a clean roller.
7.Pull off.

Tabloid Sports Fun Day

On Friday our school had Tabloid Sports.
My favourite one was Sling Shot. I liked it a lot because I slung it all the way to Tug-O-War. The score was to get it over the rugby goal posts. I didn't get it over the goal posts. Mr K caught some of the balls.
I got wet in the Bucket and Sponge. First, my group got a sponge and put it in the bucket and squirted it in the other bucket. My group was the red group. The other group was the blue and yellow group. I wanted to be the blue and yellow group but I didn't.
When we were finished, I was very very very tired. When I got to my nanny's, I got dressed into my cricket clothes.

Athletics Day

When I was eight years old, our school had an Athletics Day. We all competed in lots of events, like High Jump, Long Jump, Vortex, Shot Put, Discus and Sprints.First, the 8 years old girls did the high jump. It was the first thing we did. The mat was a blue soft mat. It started low. When the pole got higher, we ran but it fell down. I hurt my ankle. It really hurt. Emily G came 1st, Paige came 2nd and I came 3rd.
Next, the 8 years old girls and boys did the long jump. It was on the soft sand. It had a mat. The mat was blue, green, orange and yellow. Mrs Ashton said to run to the green, orange and yellow, and jump on the blue. I came 1st, Emily G came 2nd and Paige came 3rd, James came 1st, Jackson came 2nd and Nathanael came 3rd.
Finally, we went to Sprints. The 8 years old girls got ready to start. Mr Emms said, "On your marks, get set, go! Bam! went the gun. I could hear the birds singing, "Tie tie tie." I could hear my hate, "BTH BTH BTH BTH." 
I came 1st.  I beat the girls. Emily G came 2nd. She beat Paige. Paige come 3rd. She beat Eden and Lara. We did another race. It was the same as the 1st race. It was the last race. I came 1st again. I beat all of the girls. It was a fun day, but I was very tired when I got home from school that afternoon.

Diwali

1 Diwali is an Indian festival of lights.

2 It celebrates the beginning of the Indian New Year.

3 It starts in late October or early November.

4 Diwali lasts for five days.

5 Alisha and her dad make a rangoli pattern with coloured powder.

6 Alisha and her mum make a sweet called barfi.

King Arthur's Castle

Mrs Death read us the story of King Arthur, then we used three different pieces of paper and combined them to show what his castle looked like.

The Wizard of Oz

Tomorrow, we have our production. I am a crow in it. We run around and do silly faces to the scarecrows. My favourite character in The Wizard of Oz is Toto, the dog, because in the movie, he's funny and he's cute. I'm feeling nervous because there will be a lot of people watching and I am feeling excited because my family is going to be there to watch me perform. 

The Blue Flamingo

Once upon a time, a lonely girl named Emma was running to a beautiful lake. The girl saw a blue flamingo. The flamingo was lonely too. The girl wanted to stay with the pretty flamingo. The blue flamingo was happy to see the girl.
One day, the girl flamingo talked to Emma. Emma got a big fright.
The girl said, “You can talk,”
“I know,” said the blue flamingo. Emma said to the flamingo, “ I will take you home.”
The blue flamingo got down on his knees and Emma got on his back and they went home.
The flamingo was cold at Emma’s home. The girl got a blanket and covered the blue flamingo. Emma gave the flamingo a hot cocoa. The blue flamingo got warm. The girl and the pretty blue flamingo became friends.

New Zealand's Olympic Legends

Go Kiwis!
During the Olympics, I watched the Olympic rowing. Nathan Cohen and Joseph Sullivan won a gold medal.
The 2012 Olympic Games were on!
In the rowing, the Kiwis were going fast at first, then they were going slow, but, at the finish line, the Kiwis came in first place. They got a gold medal. 
I was excited. The Kiwis got a gold medal.
